A place in space

From the Mercury program to shuttle payloads to the Hubble Telescope, Rose-Hulman alumni have contributed in many ways to the success of the country's space program. This page reports on the passing of a space pioneer, the national recognition of NASA's first space flight director, and a young alumnus who continues that tradition working on the space shuttle main engine. We realize this is not a complete list of Rose-Hulman alumni involved in the space industry, but it does provide a representative look at the influence the Institute has had on the U.S. space mission.
