This time, it was seniors who had a chance to issue a grade. The students evaluated Rose-Hulmans academic programs, faculty, student services, facilities, and administration. The class of 2000 gave the highest rating of any senior class in evaluating the quality of their education at Rose-Hulman. For the past 15 years, the student affairs staff has conducted an annual senior survey. This spring, seniors gave Rose-Hulman a 4.4 out of a possible 5 in regard to their overall educational experience. Other areas receiving a score of 4 or higher were: Faculty attitude toward students (4.5), quality of preparation received (4.3), workstudy program (4.2), classroom facilities (4.1) and residence hall living (3.97). Things seniors like most about Rose-Hulman were professors, campus atmosphere, and the colleges small size. Dislikes included cost and academic workload. |
