Prete promoted to women’s basketball, softball head

coach

Jody Prete has been promoted to head coaching positions for the women’s basketball and softball programs at Rose-Hulman.

Prete served as the interim head coach for Rose-Hulman’s inaugural softball team this spring after serving as an assistant coach for the volleyball and basketball teams for the past two years.

Prete received a master’s degree in health and physical education from Illinois State University. While attending Illinois State, she served as assistant basketball and softball coach at neighboring Illinois Wesleyan University for three seasons (1996-98).

At Illinois Wesleyan, Prete was in charge of the school’s junior varsity basketball program for two seasons, compiling a record of 22-8. She also assisted in running the school’s softball tournament and the school’s summer basketball player and team camps.
