New career services director appointed

Kevin Hewerdine has been selected as the new director of career services and employer relations at Rose-Hulman. He joins the staff after serving the past 10 years as associate director of corporate relations at Kettering University (formerly GMI) in Flint, Mich.

At Kettering, Hewerdine counseled students about career choices, developed corporate partnerships creating cooperative education opportunities for students, and conducted seminars about career planning. He also coordinated corporate marketing activities, and organized job fairs and campus recruiting.

Prior to his position in corporate relations, he was assistant director of admissions at Kettering for two years.

Hewerdine earned a bachelor of science degree from Brigham Young University in 1986.
