Wrestlers enjoy breakthrough year

Rose-Hulman’s wrestling program enjoyed a breakthrough season, highlighted by its hosting of the 1999 Little State Invitational.

Freshman Aaron Rausch led Rose-Hulman wrestlers with a seventh-place finish in the 197-pound weight class, while freshman Martin Floreani claimed eighth-place honors in the 165- pound class.

Rose-Hulman also picked up dual meet victories over Carleton College and MacMurray College. Rausch provided the squad’s individual season highlight by finishing second at the NCAA III West Wrestling Regionals at North Manchester, Ind.
