The womens basketball team honored two seniors as its first true graduating class this year. Senior Amanda Speich rests ninth on Rose-Hulmans combined mens and womens career scoring list with 1,411 points and is the schools leading scorer in womens basketball history. Speich also tallied 623 rebounds, 175 assists, 113 steals, 100 three-point field goals and 26 blocked shots in her 95-game career. Senior Becky Smith suffered injuries during each of her final two seasons but served as an off-the-floor team leader. Smith compiled 219 points and 197 rebounds in her career. The Engineers snapped a 43-game losing streak and 46-game conference losing streak by defeating Millsaps 51-46 in the seasons final weekend. The Engineers finished with a 1-24 overall record. |
