Jansen elected to Rose-Hulman Board of Trustees



Erik Jansen (EE, '78), president of a financial and technology advisory firm in San Franscisco, has been elected to a five-year term on the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Board of Trustees.

Jansen is a founding partner of Jansen, Remmers, Nichols and Bernier, Inc. He is active with several boards and startup corporations. Jansen has been involved in numerous public equity offerings and corporate buyouts.

In prior assignments, he became a widely respected technology analyst and was quoted extensively in international publications such as Business Week, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has appeared on CNN, FNN and National Public Radio. Jansen is a regularly featured speaker at electronic industry events discussing major financial trends as well as specific product and technology development issues.

The Indianapolis native has served as managing director in charge of semiconductor technology research for Alex, Brown and Sons. He had seven years experience in various executive assignments and marketing positions in the seminconductor industry.

Rose-Hulman presented Jansen with the college's Distinguished Young Alumnus Award last year. He has also been active as a member of the Rose-Hulman National Board of Advisers which consists of business and industry leaders.

After graduating from Rose-Hulman, Jansen earned the MBA from Indiana University.
