New women’s coach
Brenda Davis, Rose-Hulman assistant women’s basketball coach and head volleyball coach, will become the school’s new head women’s basketball coach on July 1. Wanda Schwartz will not be reappointed as the school’s coach. Davis will serve as head coach for both the women’s basketball and volleyball programs. The school is searching for an assistant coach for women’s basketball and volleyball.
Davis was a two-sport standout at NCAA III Guilford College. She was the Old Dominion Athletic Conference women’s basketball Player of the Year in 1993 and ‘94, and the league’s volleyball Player of the Year in 1993. Davis served as an assistant women’s volleyball and women’s basketball coach at Washington & Lee (Va.) University for two years, prior to coming to Rose-Hulman last season.
