Parent's Association News

The Rose-Hulman Parent’s Association recently presented awards to three persons for their dedication to the organization. The association also elected officers for the 1998-99 year, and announced dates for events the association will sponsor during the new academic year.

Service awards were presented to Steve and Jane Blair of Paris, Ill., and to former Rose-Hulman Alumni Affairs and Special Events Director Tony Wellings.

Parent’s Association co-chairs for 1998-99 will be Ken and Marcia Nordmeyer, and Chuck and Janet Harmon of Terre Haute.

The association’s annual special events include Dad’s Day on Oct. 10, Mom’s Day on Feb. 6 and Family Weekend on May 1.
The association also presented a donation to Kelli Brownlee, president of the LINK, student/alumni association, to support the group’s activities in 1998-99.

The Parent’s Association is seeking new volunteers to help with various association-sponsored activities. Parents of current students and Rose-Hulman alumni are invited to become volunteers. Contact Ken or Marcia Nordmeyer at 812-877-3335.
