Logan Library READ Poster Contest

The Logan Library is holding a READ poster contest. Rose-Hulman students, faculty and staff may submit a photo of you or your friends, campus group, or department with a favorite book, in a favorite study spot - anything you can think of to promote reading. The Digital Resource Center will add the text to the photos.

The winning entries will be selected from the best submissions in both the Individual and Group Categories. The Rose-Hulman community will chose the winner as voted on the Logan Library Facebook Fan Page. The winners will receive one 16" x 24" poster version of their photo and special prize. The DRC will also provide an electronic version of the poster to the winners. Winning entries will be announced on April 16, 2010.

Contest Rules

1. Submissions must be a picture of an individual or individuals who are affiliated with Rose-Hulman, reading or holding their favorite book(s).
2. Entries must be in JPG or TIF format.
3. Entries must include the following information: name of individual(s) or group.
4. All entries must be sent to ward@rose-hulman.edu before 5pm on April 9th. Any entries posted after that date/time will not be considered. Please include "Read Poster Contest" as the subject.
5. Any images that are inappropriate as determined by the Logan Library Staff will not be considered.

Helpful Hints

• Make sure you leave enough space at the top or side of your photograph for us to add "READ".
• Be sure to take your picture with the highest resolution possible (winning photo will be made into a 16" x 24" poster)
• If you need a digital camera, you can check one out at the Instructional Technology Office.
• Have fun and be creative!!
