We’ve invited Terri Thompson of Etiquette in Action
to speak on social and business etiquette. Her presentation is an opportunity
to brush up on your etiquette knowledge and skills. She will cover job
search etiquette as well as etiquette for new grads in the work force! We
have two sessions on Thursday, September 9th. Plan to attend in
the Kahn Room either 5th or 6th hour. Networking
Opportunities Abound!
This year we have a variety of exciting events sponsored by companies that
recruit on campus, and designed to expose students to opportunities with
those companies. Here are a few that we have planned. Check the eRecruiting
calendar for more and watch our website for more details!
Intel:
September 14th
Attend one of two information sessions held by Intel Corporation reps in the
Union Music Room, during 5th or 6th hours.
Rockwell Collins Day: September 18th
Join reps from Rockwell Collins before the football game at 1:00pm and then
at a BBQ on the Hatfield Lawn from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. They look mostly for
CS/SE/CPE/EE students, but all are welcome!
Rockwell Collins is also doing a presentation with IEEE on the 17th
at 3:30pm in the Kahn Room of the Union, so watch for details about that as
well! Career Services

This Summer?
Our office is in the process of compiling photo galleries of our students at
work, and we need your help! If you took pictures during your summer
internship or research experience, or during your co-op assignment, please
share them with us! We would love to see pictures of you at work, or around
your work environment. Please be sure that it is okay to share pictures of
your employer’s work space, and then email Charity Mouck at
cmouck@rose-hulman.edu
to share your pictures with us. Once we have a few more albums, we will link
them on our website so that everyone can see all of the different work
experiences that our students participate in. eRecruiting Update
Time!
It’s the start of a new quarter, so that means it is time for you to update
yourself in eRecruiting! Freshmen will learn more about eRecruiting and how
we use it in their College & Life Skills class, but everyone else should be
logging in as soon as possible to upload a new resume and update their
profile. Pay special attention to your GPA, class status, job intent and
date of graduation. Companies already have jobs in the system that you
can apply for, and September already has info sessions and events planned
for you to attend! |
