GAME STATS

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team defeated Hanover College 3-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday to improve to a 3-1 conference record. 

Rose-Hulman won the first two sets, 26-24, 25-23, before dropping the next two 22-25, 18-25, before winning the deciding fifth game 15-8.

The Engineers were led by junior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis, Ind./Lutheran) with 14 kills.  She also had 14 digs.

Senior Morgan Williams (Fenton, Mich./Powers Catholic) added 13 kills, and sophomore Catherine Fiutem (Harrison, Ohio/Oldenburg Academy) chipped in with 10 kills. 

Senior Leah Pelzel (Loveland, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) led the team with 31 assists on the day.  She also led the team with 18 digs.  Sophomore Kira Boswell (Ames, Iowa) contributed 17 assists. 

Sophomores Kate Dangel (Upper Arlington, Ohio) added 15 digs while Casey Levitt (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) chipped in with 14. 

Pelzel and Levitt also record three aces each. 

Rose-Hulman is now 13-6, 3-1 in the HCAC and return to action to face conference foe Manchester College Sunday morning at 11.  The Engineers then travel to the Great Midwest Challenge at Hope College and Calvin College on Oct. 14-15.
