GREENVILLE, ILL. -- Greenville College improved to 4-1 on the volleyball season with a 3-1 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday night.

Rose-Hulman stands 4-1 overall following the match.

Greenville jumped out to a two-set lead with 25-20 and 25-19 wins to open the match.  Rose-Hulman rallied with a 25-16 victory to force a fourth set.

Greenville was able to respond in front of its home crowd with a tightly contested 25-21 win in the final set.

Junior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis/Lutheran) and junior Casey Levitt (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) led the Engineers with 16 kills each.  Freshman Sarah Jensen (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest) led the passing effort with 39 assists and a team-high five service aces.

Defensively, junior Kate Dangel (Upper Arlington, Ohio) had 22 digs, with Lewer (13) and Levitt (12) also reaching double figures.  Freshmen Claire Raycraft (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) and Anna Weber (Schererville/Lake Central) provided three block assists, and junior Catherine Fiutem (Harrison, Ohio/Oldenburg Academy) had one solo block and one block assist.

The Fightin' Engineers host the Rose-Hulman Invitational at Hulbert Arena this weekend.  The weekend includes Saturday matches against DePauw and Centre starting at 1, along with Sunday matches against Webster and Millikin starting at 11.
