jensen-setTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Fightin' Engineers split a pair of matches against highly regarded regional foes to open the Rose-Hulman Volleyball Invitational on Saturday.

Rose-Hulman topped Centre 25-23, 21-25, 11-25, 25-20, 15-9 in a come-from-behind five-set match to cap the Saturday doubleheader.

Senior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis, IN) and junior Casey Levitt (Thousands Oak, Calif.) led the Engineers with 12 kills. Freshman Sarah Jensen  (Overland Park, Kan.) added 27 assists, while Kira Boswell (Ames, Iowa) had 16 assists of her own.

Defensively, junior Kate Dangel (Upper Arlington, Ohio) led the way with 23 digs, while Lewer and Levitt each had 12 digs. Jensen also contributed with 10 digs.

In the opener, DePauw earned a 25-20, 25-20, 24-26, 25-16 victory over the Fightin' Engineers.

Levitt led the Engineers with 10 kills, while Jensen distributed 23 assists.

Dangel was one among four Engineers with double digit digs recording 16 of her own.

Rose-Hulman improved to 5-2 on the season and returns to action with matches on Sunday against Webster and Millikin starting at 11 a.m.
