STEVENS POINT, WIS. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Liz Evans (Bicknell/North Knox) captured top honors at Wisconsin-Stevens Point in her final tune-up for next weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
Evans tied a season-best with a leap of 5' 10" to earn first-place honors over a strong field at Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The mark also earns Evans the top seed at next weekend's NCAA National Championships at North Central College.
Evans looks to set an NCAA Division III record with her fifth consecutive women's high jump national championship next weekend at North Central. She has earned four national titles and two runner-up honors in six previous trips to the NCAA Championships.
Evans will compete at 11 a.m. Central Time on Saturday March 9 at North Central.
