NAPERVILLE, ILL. -- Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology senior Sutton Coleman
(Lebanon, Va.) and junior Liz Evans
(Bicknell/North Knox) combined for one school record and
two top-two all-time performances at the North Central Invitational
on Friday.
Evans won the high jump with her second best career leap outdoors of 5' 9". She is projected to enter the NCAA Division III National Championships with the nation's top mark this season.
Coleman established a new school record in the 110-meter high hurdles with a mark of 14.35 seconds. The time also ranks No. 4 nationally in NCAA Division III this season.
In addition, Coleman
completed the 400-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 52.58
seconds to place second overall with the eighth best time in the
nation this season. The mark is also the second best in
Coleman's career.
Junior Collin Crowson (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) added a pole vault effort of 14' 9" in the final regular season meet.
The official qualification list for the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships will be available Sunday morning.
