ANDERSON, IND. -- Anderson University earned a pair
of 8-0 victories over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference softball action on
Wednesday.
In the opener, four Ravens recorded two hits each and Monica Crowe struck out seven in a complete-game two-hitter.
Sophomores Alyse Mueller (Belleville, Ill./West) and Brianne Widmoyer (Elkhart/Central) (pictured) led the Engineer offense with singles.
In the nightcap, Mueller provided Rose-Hulman's lone single as Devin Moorman tossed a complete game one-hitter. Lys Hess and Megan Kruse led the Ravens offense with home runs.
Anderson improved to 17-9 overall and 7-1 in league play, while Rose-Hulman stands 10-16 and 3-5 in conference games. The Engineers travel to Manchester in another conference twinbill on Saturday.
