HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior
Rachel Johnstone (Loveland, Ohio) earned
Capital One Academic All-District honors, in results released by
the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Johnstone appeared in 18 matches for the Fightin' Engineers this season with one goal as a starting forward. She has tallied seven goals and 18 points as a three-year letter winner for the Fightin' Engineers.
Johnstone also claimed Capital One Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year. She advances to the national ballot, with the 2012 Academic All-America Team scheduled for release on Nov. 27.
In the classroom, the chemical engineering major has a 3.92 grade point average and is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honorary fraternity and the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She has also been a member of Engineers Without Borders, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and the Ladies Greek Bible Study.
Rose-Hulman recorded its first winning season since 2008 with a 9-7-3 record this fall.
