TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior goalkeeper Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for his efforts in two shutouts last weekend.
Miller helped Rose-Hulman remain in first place in the HCAC standings with five saves in a 110-minute double-overtime shutout against Hanover on Saturday. The scoreless draw left Rose-Hulman at 5-0-2 in the conference and in first place by one standings point over Hanover.
Against Franklin on Wednesday, Miller played the first 72 minutes without allowing a goal in a 3-0 victory. He recorded two saves in that contest.
On the season, Miller leads the HCAC in goals against average (0.60) and save percentage (.841). His efforts have helped Rose-Hulman achieve an 8-4-4 record this season and allow just 10 goals in 16 matches.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at Earlham College on Wednesday afternoon.
