Men's Soccer Falls in Home Opener


TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Milwaukee School of Engineering scored once in each half to earn a 2-0 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the men's soccer opener for both schools on Friday night.

Logan Andryk scored in the 19th minute, with Jordan Werner adding an insurance goal in the 68th minute for the Raiders.  Patrick Gathof provided both assists.

Garret Farin made five saves in net for the shutout for Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Rose-Hulman outshot the Raiders 9-8 in the contest, with five different Fightin' Engineers recording one shot on goal.  The evenly played match in terms of possession time also featured five corner kicks for both teams.

Milwaukee School of Engineering stands 1-0, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 0-1.  The Fightin' Engineers hit the road for Franklin College on Sunday and will face Olivet College at 1 p.m. in a match moved to central Indiana due to potential rain.
