CINCINNATI, OHIO -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on a pair of second half scores to top Mount St. Joseph 3-1 in men's soccer action on Saturday.

Sophomore Ben Green (Frisco, Texas/Centennial) scored his third and fourth goals to lead the Fightin' Engineer offense.  Green scored in the eighth minute on a double assist from sophomore William Senat (Edmond, Okla./North) and senior Clint Vatterrodt (Bloomington, Ill./University).

Mount St. Joseph knotted the score at 1-1 late in the first half on a score by Lee Rogers.  Green relied on his second goal of the day to put Rose-Hulman ahead 2-1 in the 47th minute, courtesy of an assist from sophomore John Munson (Bloomington, Ill./University).

Vatterrodt added his conference leading 11th goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 71st minute for the final goal of the day and Rose-Hulman's final margin of victory.

Senior Eric Davenport (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way-Central) earned the victory in goal with three saves for Rose-Hulman.  The Engineers outshot Mount St. Joseph 15-13, with Vatterrodt providing a team-high six shots.

Rose-Hulman improved to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in league play, while Mount St. Joseph stands 3-7 and 1-1 in conference matches.  Rose-Hulman returns to action at home against Illinois Wesleyan on Tuesday night.
