MURRAY, KY. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology rifle team compiled a season-high score of 4,410 at the
Withrow Invitational hosted by Murray State University on
Friday.
Freshman Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) led the Rose-Hulman performance with a career-best total of 1,127 points. Duvall recorded a 567 in smallbore.
Freshman Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/ Concordia Lutheran) added a score of 1,119 to the team effort. Junior Malhon Godwin (Blue Grass, Iowa/Davenport West) also reached the 1,100 mark to provide depth to the team score.
Sophomore Katy Dimon (Fairfax, Va./Flint Hill) contributed a 1,064 to the team effort. Freshman Rachel Collett (Fishers/Hamilton Southeastern) rounded out Rose-Hulman competitors with a score of 1,002.
The Engineers placed ninth of the 10th institutions at the meet. Rose-Hulman travels to the Tennessee-Martin Invitational on Saturday.
