COLUMBUS,
OHIO -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded its
highest team score of the 2012 rifle season at No. 13 Ohio
State University, then recorded another strong performance at No.
16 Akron on Sunday.
Sophomore Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) led Rose-Hulman with a score of 1,141 points at Ohio State, including 572 in air rifle. Senior Malhon Godwin (Blue Grass, Iowa/Davenport West) placed second among the Engineers with a 1,122, including 565 in air rifle.
Freshman Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) came home third among Engineers with a score of 1,111 and a 567 in air rifle. Sophomore Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/Concordia Lutheran) rounded out the team score with a 1,110.
Carlson led the effort at Akron with a score of 1,129 points, including a score of 578 in air rifle. Duvall was just behind with an 1,127 score.
Godwin added an effort of 1,102, and Foss rounded out the team performance with a 1,099 at Akron.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the NCAA Sectional Qualifier at Ohio State University on Saturday.
