COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman Institute
of Technology rifle team placed second at Akron University and
third at Ohio State University with an effort including the team's
second best score this season.
Freshman Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/ Concordia Lutheran) led the Rose-Hulman performance with a score of 1,126 at Akron and 1,120 at Ohio State.
Freshman Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) added his top score of the season with a team-high 1,129 at Ohio State, along with a 1,116 at Akron.
Sophomore Katy Dimon (Fairfax, Va./Flint Hill) crossed the 1,100-point mark with an 1,103 at Ohio State after compiling a 1,066 at Akron. Freshman Ethan O'Connor (Hamilton, Ohio/Edgewood) rounded out the team scores with tallies of 1,056 at Ohio State and 1,042 at Akron.
Rose-Hulman travels to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks to compete in NCAA Sectional Qualifications this Saturday. The Fightin' Engineers will become the first Rose-Hulman athletic team to visit the state of Alaska in competition.
