springerTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- St. Mary-of-the-Woods College captured the top four places to claim a dual match win over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at Rea Park Golf Course on Sunday.

Freshman Hayley Vonder Haar (Highland, Ill.) led the Rose-Hulman effort with a fifth-place finish and a score of 86.  Sophomore Deanne De Keizer (Mishawaka/Penn) added a round of 87.

Sophomore Emily Barker (Fort Wayne/Leo) contributed a score of 90, with sophomore Miriam Remmers (Hudson, Ohio) adding a 91.  Freshman Jaclyn Smith (Thorntown, Ind./Western Boone) came home just behind at 93.

Sophomore Samantha Springer (Irving, Texas/Parish Episcopal) (pictured) provided the day's highlight for Rose-Hulman with an eagle on the 320-yard, 14th hole.  Springer holed out a seven-iron from the fairway for a score of two.

Rose-Hulman will compete at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Legends of Indiana Course in Franklin.
