CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished third of five teams in the Wabash College Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
The effort included a team score of 305 on Saturday that marks the best Rose-Hulman team score in several seasons. Mount St. Joseph edged out the Engineers by one shot for the second position.
Freshman Sanders Park (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) led the individual performance with a second-place finish. Park fired an even par round of 70 on Sunday after shooting a 74 on Saturday.
Junior Travis Whithaus (Robinson, Ill./Vincennes University) added a top-five individual finish with scores of 74 and 75.
Freshman Kent Kraus (Greenwood/Center Grove) contributed rounds of 79 and 81, with junior John Rigitano (Addison, Ill./Addison Trail) adding scores of 78 and 83.
Freshman Chris Lambert (Chesterfield, Mo./Chaminade Prep) scored 84 and 83 in two rounds, with junior Jeremy Walters (Manila, Utah) contributing rounds of 84 and 83.
The Fightin' Engineers have completed the fall season and return to the course at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational in March.
