CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. -- Wabash College retained the Little Giant-Engineer Cup with a 7-3 match play victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in men's golf action on Saturday.
Freshman Sanders Park (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) earned the individual championship with a round of 71 on the par 70 layout.
Junior Travis Whithaus (Robinson, Ill./Vincennes University) contributed a score of 72 to tie for second place.
Point winners for Rose-Hulman included Park, Whithaus and junior Jeremy Walters (Manila, Utah) with a round of 80.
Other Engineers contributing to the team score included freshman Kent Kraus (Greenwood) with a round of 82; senior Eric Kamer (Greenwood/Center Grove) with an 83; and junior John Rigitano (Addison, Ill./Addison Trail) with an 83.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Manchester Invitational on Sept. 29.
