Soccer Teams Earn NSCAA Academic Honors

746-nscaalogoTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's soccer programs joined 151 institutions at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels by earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award, in results released today.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America awards institutions the College Team Academic Award if an institution averages a team cumulative grade point average above 3.0.  Rose-Hulman was one of just two Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schools (Manchester) and one of six institutions in Indiana (Butler, Indiana, IUPUI, Manchester, Notre Dame, Rose-Hulman) to receive the award in both men's and women's soccer.

The women's soccer team recorded a 3.22 team cumulative grade point average for the 2011-12 academic year, while the Rose-Hulman men's soccer team compiled a 3.05 grade point average.
