TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The 2013 Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology soccer schedules feature 19 total home matches, including five men's and five women's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contests.
The men's squad earned a share of the 2012 HCAC regular season championship after finishing 12-5-3 overall and 8-0-1 in league matches.
Sean Helliwell has been named HCAC Coach of the Year four times in his five seasons at Rose-Hulman, and the Fightin' Engineers have an overall record of 40-5-4 against league foes since 2008. The team features two returning all-region honorees from last season.
On the women's side, Rose-Hulman compiled its first winning season since 2008 last fall with a 9-7-3 mark and a 4-3-2 league record.
Amy Helliwell enters her fifth season at the Fightin' Engineer helm with a 16-16-3 career record in conference matches, including a 2009 league regular season co-championship. The youthful women's squad also features the return of two all-region selections.
The home schedule features HCAC men's and women's home matchups against Defiance, Mount St. Joseph, Franklin, Hanover and Manchester.
The men's non-conference home slate includes matches against Greenville, Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan. Rose-Hulman's women will host Webster, Benedictine, Marian, Greenville, Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan, along with a crosstown trip to St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Oct. 1.
The Fightin' Engineers will play their non-conference weekend home matches at Jim Rendel Field, with the remainder of the schedule played at the Rose-Hulman Intramural Field.
