WXCrunner3VERSAILLES, KY. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross country team placed seventh in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country championships hosted by Transylvania University on Saturday.

Senior Katherine Quigg (Chillicothe, Ill./ Illinois Valley Central) paced the team effort with all-conference honors.  Quigg placed 12th overall in a time of 24:22 for the sixth best six-kilometer time in Rose-Hulman women's cross country history.

Freshman Katherine Moravec (Seymour) came home second among Engineers and 23rd overall in 25:34.  Sophomore Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) added a 32nd place finish in 26:18.

Junior Shannon Butler (Huntley, Ill.) came home 67th in 28:12, and freshman Claire Stark (Geneva, Ill./St. Francis Prep) rounded out the team score with 74th place in 28:30.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the NCAA Division III Regional in Michigan on Nov. 13.
