BLUFFTON, OHIO -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied
on a balanced performance to place fifth in the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championships
on Saturday at Bluffton University.
Junior Ryann-Rebecca Montgomery (Lafayette,
La./Episcopal School of Acadiana) led the Fightin'
Engineers with an all-conference performance. Montgomery came
home 12th in a six-kilometer time of 24:50.
Sophomore Nicole Gonzalez (Camarillo,
Calif./Camarillo) came home second among Engineers and
22nd overall in a time of 25:31. Senior Creasy
Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) added a 26th place
performance in 25:57.
Sophomore Ashley Schumacher (St. Louis, Mo./Lutheran
South) added a 42nd place effort in 26:48. Junior
Katherine Moravec (Seymour)rounded out the team
score with a 47th place in 26:56.
Rose-Hulman will compete in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes
Regional at Anderson on Nov. 10, before the Fightin' Engineers host
the NCAA Division III National Championships at the LaVern Gibson
Course on Nov. 17.
