Men's Cross Country Finishes 11th at Wilmington

mxc-wilmWILMINGTON, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team finished 11th of 26 teams in the Wilmington College Invitational on Friday.

Freshman Stuart West (LaPorte) led the Engineers with a 41st place finish of nearly 300 runners in a time of 26:29.

Freshman Josh Hojnacki (LaPorte) came home 72nd overall in a time of 27:11, with senior Micah Aldrich (Indianapolis/Warren Central) placing third among Engineers and 78th in a time of 27:18.

Other Rose-Hulman runners contributing to the team score included freshman Matthew Lash (Batavia, Ill.) with a time of 27:23, and freshman Michael Johnson (Walnut Creek, Calif./De La Salle) just behind in 27:24.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships at Anderson University on Oct. 29.
