SPRINGFIELD, OHIO -- Wittenberg University jumped out to an
early lead and never looked back as they defeated Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology 69-54 Thursday afternoon in the Engineers
first game of the Wittenberg University Holiday
Invitational.
Rose-Hulman was led by sophomore Kelsey Ploof (Noblesville, Ind.) with a career-high 23 points, including 7-7 from the free-throw line. Ploof also led the team with eight rebounds. Senior Alisa Dickerson (Elizabethtown, Ky.) added 12 points for the Engineers and also dished out six assists.
Rose-Hulman stands 2-8 overall while Wittenberg improved to 4-5 on the season. The Engineers return to action at noon on Friday in the Consolation game against Brescia.
