Strong Defensive Effort Leads Hanover Women Past Rose-Hulman



TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Hanover College relied on a strong defensive effort and improved to 14-1 on the season with a 59-30 women's basketball victory over Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night.

Senior Donna Marsh (Mobile, Ala./Baker) (pictured)  led the Engineer offensive effort with eight points and 10 rebounds.  Sophomore Lauren Meadows (Indianapolis/Brebeuf) also had eight points for the Engineers.

Senior Nicole Klass (Evansville/North) came off the bench to add five points for Rose-Hulman.

Torin Franz led the Hanover offense with 15 points.  Holly Vogel contributed nine points and six rebounds for the Panthers.

Hanover held Rose-Hulman to 11 first half points with a strong defensive effort to secure the win.

Rose-Hulman dropped to 6-10 on the season and 4-5 in conference play, while Hanover stands 14-1 and 8-1 in league games.  The Engineers return to action at Defiance on Saturday.
