TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- DePauw University scored seven
runs in the third inning to earn a 13-1 baseball victory over
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in non-conference action on
Wednesday night.
Jason Cohen led DePauw with three hits and scored twice. Four Tigers added two hits each.
Mike Peterson improved to 2-3 on the season by earning the pitching victory. Peterson scattered five hits and allowed no earned runs with two strikeouts for DePauw.
Senior Chris Stemple (Mount Vernon) led the Rose-Hulman with two hits, including a double, and scored one run. Senior Michael Kovacs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) added an RBI single.
Rose-Hulman dropped to 14-8 on the season, while DePauw improved to 11-15. The Engineers return to action with a three-game series at Bluffton University beginning Friday at 4 p.m.
