engineering
graduate,
has
been
elected
to
serve
as
one
of
two
alumni
representatives
to
the
Rose-Hulman
Board
of
Trustees.

was
chosen
following
a
nationwide
vote
by
alumni.
He
replaces
Pat
Cahill,
of
Terre
Haute,
whose
term
as
the
alumni
representative
has
expired.
Continuing
to
serve
as a
trustee
elected
by
alumni
is
Roger
Ward,
vice
president
of
HNTB,
Indianapolis.
Schacht
was
president
of
the
Rose-Hulman
Alumni
Association
in
2001-02
after
serving
as
vice
president
and
committee
chairman
of
the
association.
He
has
been
a
class
agent
for
34
years.
In
1989,
Rose-Hulman
presented
him
with
the
Honor
Alumnus
Award
for
his
service
to
the
college
and
the
alumni
association.
Schacht
is
an
executive
advisor
to
several
senior
officers
at
Commonwealth
Edison,
an
Exelon
Company.
He
previously
served
as
chief
operating
officer
of
Northern
Indiana
Public
Service
Company.
He
resides
in
Valparaiso,
Ind.
