The Federal Work-Study and Rose-Hulman Work Opportunity programs provide jobs for undergraduates with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. Approximately 60% of our students participate in either the Federal Work-Study or Rose-Hulman Work Opportunity program. These programs allow students to work on-campus in a flexible work schedule environment. Students wanting to earn the full amount of a typical award of $1,500 would need to work an average of 8 hours per week over the course of the academic year.
The difference between the two Financial Aid programs:
- Rose-Hulman Work Opportunity 100% funding by Rose-Hulman.
- Federal Work-Study 75% federal funding and 25% comes from Rose-Hulman.
If awarded work-study or work opportunity, a student may begin applying online for a position. Check out the Rose-Hulman Student Employment Database.
