Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is committed to accessibility. Our new website, launching in late 2016, is being designed to meet W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and guidelines set forth in Section 508 of the amended Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
We are already working to improve accessibility of our current site through site structure, headings, and formatting features, and the development of online courses that provide equal access to services. The federal government has not set accessibility standards, but Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are internationally used and accepted as best practice, and government agencies have developed guidelines relative to Section 508 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
We are dedicated to monitoring the accessibility of our site, and to remaining informed of emerging technologies, standards, and practices that can improve accessibility for our visitors.
