Tailor-made independent study projects

Over the last two years the HSS department has offered several independent study classes.  There have been several in music, theater and dance. Other examples include social science classes dealing with parts of Europe or the Middle East. Our East Asian studies specialists have offered independent studies in diverse areas such as the Shinto religion, food culture, bonsai, samurai history, East Asian cultures and native/aboriginal religions. Interested students can tailor make their own independent study experience.
