Bill Kline

Associate Dean of Innovation and Professor of Engineering Management

Dr. Bill Kline’s teaching and professional interests include systems engineering, quality, manufacturing systems, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He has a patent on a method developed to measure small increases in machine tool drive motor power, and has worked with colleagues to develop an innovation canvas approach to system design. He served for many years as chief operating officer of Montronix, a company in the global machine monitoring industry that he co-founded. Dr. Kline also serves as the institute’s Associate Dean of Innovation & Engagement, promotes a culture of innovation on campus, and supervises activities at the Branam Innovation Center. He is a three-time recipient of Rose-Hulman’s Excellence in Service Award. Check out his personal web page
