Applied Biology and Biomedical Engineering
RH-line1
This is an exciting time for life sciences and biomedical engineering in general, and especially for these two programs at Rose-Hulman.  The applied biology program will produce biologists with the chemistry, mathematics, and physics background needed to solve biotechnological problems in the coming decades. The biomedical engineering program will produce engineers with the medical and biological knowledge needed to solve many of the health care problems that face our society.  Both programs will prepare graduates for careers in the biotechnology and health-related industries, as well as in government and industrial research laboratories. Those wishing to continue their studies in graduate or health professions programs will be exceptionally well qualified to do so.

If you have any questions about either the Applied Biology or the Biomedical Engineering program, please feel free to contact admissions at (812) 877-8213. For details about the curriculum, see our web page by clicking on the links at the left or call the ABBE Department at (812) 872-6822.

The BS degree program in Biomedical Engineering at Rose is the first ABET accredited biomedical engineering program in the state of Indiana. Rose-Hulman also becomes only the third institution in the nation that offers an ABET accredited BS degree in biomedical engineering, but does not offer the PhD degree.
