Why Use Consortiums?
One way that buyers
insure the best value for the Institute’s dollar is to utilize the collective buying
power of a group of institutions. RHIT
has several consortium partners, providing ready-made contracts on a wide
variety of goods and services.
This reduces the
workload of the buyer by eliminating the bidding process.
Which Consortiums are Available?
Rose-Hulman partners
with three different educational groups, each supplying pre-negotiated pricing. These are:
- ICI (Independent Colleges of
- HRG (Horizon Resources Group)
- E&I (Educational and Institutional
Cooperative Services, Inc.)

What are the Steps?
Once you have found a
product or service you are interested in, contact the vendor for pricing and
follow the steps in the Purchasing Guide for authorizing the order and
payment. The guidelines do not require
bidding for any purchase made through a consortium vendor.
