This process was verified on two Macs running OSX 10.5 Leopard. February 3, 2009

The following steps indicate how to install Maple 12 on a personal Mac at Rose-Hulman. If you are installing a different version of Maple, this may still be useful as a resource for comparison.

  • Connect to \\rose-hulman.edu\dfs\software from your Mac
  • In the Finder, choose Go > Connect to Server
  • Enter smb:\\rose-hulman.edu\dfs\software and click Connect

  • When prompted, enter full email address and network password
  • Select public from the list of volumes to mount, then click OK

  • Navigate to the most desired Maple folder under \\rose-hulman.edu\dfs\software>Linux_MacOSX_Apps (For this example, Maple 12)

    Open Maple 12 installer, which is in Maple 12>Maple 12 New, and follow the instructions

    When prompted, select Network License, then click Next


    When prompted, enter rhel-lmgrd.rose-hulman.edu as the licenses server

    Follow the instructions to complete the installation

    Restart Maple or reboot your Mac (if the installer tells you to) to finalize the installtion
