Telephone Number Guide
Rose-Hulman has three types of phone number extensions: those starting with an "8", those starting with a "6", and Rose-Hulman Ventures numbers that start with a "4". Dialing these numbers from off-campus without knowing the proper prefix is problematic.
If the phone number's extention starts with an "8", then the prefix for the number will be "877", such as the Help Desk's phone number of 877-8989.
If the extension begins with a "6", the prefix for the number will be "872". Rose-Hulman Ventures telelphone numbers have a prefix of "244".
Faculty/Staff Request for Telephone Services
Faculty or staff that need a new telephone extension, an extension moved to another office/room, or an extension added or removed from a room, e.g. classroom, laboratory or conference room, need to complete the Telephone Action Request for and submit it to the Help Desk at CM-16. Note that a Department Head or supervisor must authorize the request by signing the form.
