The Certificates of Meritorious Service are presented for service to the MAA at the national level or for service to a Section of the Association. The first such awards were made in 1984. At each January meeting of the Association, honorees from roughly six Sections are recognized.

• 1984 - Gerhard N. Wollan
• 1989 - Rodney T. Hood
• 1994 - Paul Mielke
• 1999 - Billy E. Rhoades
• 2004 - Underwood Dudley

The next winner from the Indiana Section will be announced at the January 2009 meeting with nomination due to national by July 2008. National should be sending a letter to the Section Chair in January 2008.
