Panasonic VHS Reporter Video Camera:

 

  1. Insert the battery or attach the power cord. The battery should be inserted into the back on the top with the positive side facing the rear of the camera. The power adapter should be plugged in to the back on the bottom.
  2. Remove the lens cap and place a VHS tape into the tape tray. To open the tape tray, press the eject button (the blue button). When closing the tape tray, apply pressure to the “PUSH HERE” section of the tray. This will ensure that the tray closes correctly.
  3. To mount the camera on a tripod, attach the removable locking piece onto the bottom of the camera. Then place the camera onto the tripod, and make sure that the connection between them is secure.
  4. To hold the camera, place it on your right shoulder. Now, your hand should slide through the strap in the front. If the strap is too tight, loosen it by undoing the Velcro and tightening it around your hand. Now your pointer should rest on the “W” or wide angle button, and your middle finger should rest on the “T” or telephoto button. “T” allows you to zoom in, and “W” allows you to zoom out.
  5. While holding the camera, your thumb should rest on the record button. There is a sliding lock there. Slide the lock down to push the record button. Slide the lock up to lock the camera into which function it is currently in. To record press the button once. “REC” will appear in the upper right corner of the viewfinder. At this point, if the slide lock is locked, than the camera will continue recording. To stop recording, unlock the slide lock and press the record button again. When the camera is not recording the word “PAUSE” should be in the upper right of the viewfinder.
  6. To view the video, switch the selection dial to “VCR”. Then use the buttons across the top of the camera to view the tape. If you wish to continue recording, you will need to make sure the tape is where you would like to continue recording first, then switch the dial back to “CAMERA”
  7. When finished recording, replace the lens cap and remove the tape by pressing the eject button (the blue button), and place the tape into a VCR for viewing. Remember to remove the battery, and close the tape tray when storing the camera.
  8. To charge the battery, plug in the power adapter and remove the battery. Slide the battery into the power adapter.

RCA AutoShot Video Camera:

 

  1. The Battery attaches to the back of the camera, just match up the arrows on either side, and slide down. To plug in the camera, the battery can not be attached. If the battery is attached, than remove it by holding the button “BATTERY EJECT” and pulling up on the battery. The power adapter then plugs into the lower left of the back.
  2. Place a VHS tape into the tape tray. To open the tape tray, press the eject button which is the last button on the row of buttons across the top. When closing the tape tray, apply pressure to the tray.
  3. To mount the camera on a tripod, attach the removable locking piece onto the bottom of the camera. Then place the camera onto the tripod, and make sure that the connection between them is secure.
  4. To hold the camera, place it on your right shoulder. Now, your hand should slide through the strap in the front.   5. To record, push the red button in the middle of the top row of button and slide the button to “CAMERA”. While holding the camera, your middle finger should rest on the record button. To record press this button once. “REC” will appear in the bottom of the viewfinder. To stop recording press the record button again. When the camera is not recording the pause symbol ( | | ) should be in the bottom of the viewfinder.
  6. To view the video, push the red button on the selection switch and slide the switch to “VCR”. Then use the buttons across the top of the camera to view the tape. If you wish to continue recording, you will need to make sure the tape is where you would like to continue recording first, then switch the switch back to “CAMERA”
  7. When finished recording, remove the tape by pressing the eject button, and place the tape into a VCR for viewing.
  8. To charge the battery, plug in the power adapter and remove the battery. Slide the battery into the power adapter.
