Walnut Night Stand
I made this night stand for my honey. On a road trip, my honey and I
visited a furniture factory, lured by a sign which stated "Old Bag
Factory." On the way out, I noticed some scrap wood for sale at a
really good price. I picked up a bundle of eight 8/4 Walnut pieces for
$5.50. From that lot, I built the legs, the sides of the table-top,
the front and the innards. This is still my favorite piece of
furniture that I built. It was a great project, from the purchase of
the wood to the way I loosely followed a plan from one of Norm Abram's
books. I changed the dimension of the table top in relation to the
base and I just love the way it came out, including the knob.
