Day Topics Readings
Day 1 Introduction to Logic and the Course From the introduction, read the following sections: "The special role of logic in rational inquiry", "Why learn and artificial language", "Consequence and proof", "Philosophical Remarks" in the section "To the instructor". Read sections 1.1 to 1.5.
Day 2 Introduction to predicate logic
Formalization Read sections 2.0 - 2.4
Complete assignments 1.15, 1.16, 1.17 and 1.18 by Monday, BC. Eiher submit them to the appropriate drop box on Angel or submit a paper copy.
