Logic: Application Presentation
The purpose of your presentation is to give the audience a good idea
of how logic is being used in a particular application domain.
Specifications
- You have 24 minutes for your presentation. This includes about 7
minutes for set-up, discussion and delta-analysis.
- It is a good idea to use PowerPoint slides, but you do not have
to. If you do not use PPT slides, you need to use a better
presentation vehicle.
- Your presentation has to be concise and smooth flowing.
- It has to be professional and visually appealing.
- The information has to flow in a logical fashion and has to be
compelling.
- Your opening slide has to contain the title of your presentation
and your name. Most people find it useful to have an overview slide.
- You want to give the audience a good sense of how logic is being
used in the application domain. Explain why logic is useful in the
domain and give a few simple examples of how logic is used to solve
problems in that domain. Give a sense of regular problems being solved
in that domain. For this, present screen-shots or, if available, a
running system. Finally, give a sense of the power and limitations of
the system.
- It is a good idea to rehearse your presentation, so as to
work out timing and explanation issues.
- We all will give you a delta analysis of your presentation.
