Euchre Tournament
7:30 p.m. Kahn Rooms, Hulman Union
Team up with your son or daughter and challenge other Rose-Hulman students and their parents to a friendly game of Euchre!  Through a single elimination tournament, we will crown this year’s “Euchre Champions” and give away lots of prizes to several different teams.  Join us in the Kahn Room of the Hulman Memorial Union for a Midwesterner’s card game Classic!  Reservations are required -- limited to 64 persons.

"Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club"
7:30 p.m. Hatfield Hall Performing Arts Center
In the heart of London, behind the impassive facade of a windowless house, some of Europe's most powerful men gather to play a game.  The game is murder, and this is The Suicide Club.  But the club has a new member, Sherlock Holmes: brilliant, brooding, the greatest detective in the world.  Why does Holmes wish to die?  Can his friend Dr. Watson save him?  Or doesn't Holmes want to be saved?  A new stage thriller featuring the famed sleuth in a tale full of mystery, romance, twists and chills.  Reservations are required.

Student Design Seminar

Dr. Ashley Bernal, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  Have you ever wondered what it is like to sit-in on a Rose-Hulman design class?  Come have fun and learn about the techniques to get your creative juices flowing for redesigning an everyday household product.  Active participation is a must!  The seminar concludes with information regarding an intensive ten-week multidisciplinary summer grand challenge course in which Rose-Hulman students designed and built a water pasteurization system for use in Kenya. Reservations are required -- limited to 200 persons.

Branam Innovation Center Open House
1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Branam Innovation Center
Join us for an open house at the Branam Innovation Center (BIC) to see student competition teams working on the latest vehicle technologies including hybrid, high mileage, and formula style cars - human and chemical powered vehicles - and land and underwater robots.   Over 200 students participate on the 8 competition teams housed in the BIC.  Join us to learn about the teams, tour the facility, and talk to students about the project work they are doing.  The BIC project experiences emphasize teamwork, problem solving, and innovation – all skills which are in demand in the workplace of today.  No reservations are necessary.

In just one event you can go from a nobody to a conquering hero!  It only takes a minute to win, but you'll enjoy every second of this awesome prize winning opportunity.  This event is presented by your fun loving Student Activities Board, with selected parents given the chance to win prizes in fun-filled games! There is no charge, but reservations are required -- limited to 250 persons.

Family Day Dinner
5:00 - 6:30 p.m., Vonderschmitt Dining Room, Hulman Union
Families and students are invited to enjoy a catered buffet with entertainment provided by the Rose-Hulman Chorus under the direction of Dan Tryon.  President James Conwell will address parents during the dinner, and the Joy Hulbert Award will be presented. Reservations are required.

Comedian
8:00 p.m., Kahn Room, Hulman Union
Comedian Ryan Conner is described by Laughspin.com as "Unique and extremely funny...has all the makings of a great."  Ryan performs very original, smart comedy, that college audiences love.  He tells longer stories that are filled with minutes of hard-hitting punch lines.  He has written for SNL's "Weekend Update" and MTV's Ridiculousness, and has been on the NFL Network, the BBC and Fridays with Jim Breuer on Sirius Radio.  This comedy performance is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.  There is no charge and reservations are not required.  Seating is limited on a first come, first seated basis.
